Understanding and communication are invaluable words that we today use too much but unfortunately we neglect them completely when it comes to actually implementing what they mean.

Understanding is the action of trying to comprehend someone or something or an action or a fact. To know how it works, what makes it tick and how that it functions. It is trying to actually see what is beyond the obvious. Understanding is a very important factor in any relationship which many fail to see.

To understand why the other party says a certain comment and understand what do they truly mean. For example knowing that when a woman is giving an advice to her husband, he must understand and comprehend that the advice is not to diminish his abilities or skills nor is it to take away his thoughts but to understand that she is offering her experience. And vice versa.

To know if when a friend does something that bothers you , did they really meant it or was it an accident, if it was unintentional then it should be passed and neglected but if it is meant then this is something else to consider.

To know that some people in your life would want nothing more than to see you happy for example your parents, and I do not mean by that any exceptional cases where the parents are negligent or uncaring. I am talking about the general human beings who have a balanced character and are able to see wrong from right. To trust those who really care and understand them and what they need and how they work.

This is the truth of understanding, it is seeing, comprehending, analyzing and sharing.

On the other hand the second word which comes in place is Communication and this word goes hand in hand with Understanding. They go together and work together. Without communication there would be no understanding. You have to talk, share, and express yourself.

Communication is not only written or spoken, it can be through body language and eye contact but that does not remove the fact of requiring talking. Communication is physical and verbal. For example too much chatting online without physical communication is not as strong as physical and verbal communication such as in a meeting with the person you are talking with.

To communicate is to send your ideas and receive the other party’s ideas whoever they are. Friend, best friend. lover or spouse.

Communication is not trying to force your opinion or take charge of the conversation or dominating the conversation. And entering any conversation with a start the base is that you are correct and everyone else doesn’t understand anything or doesn’t know anything or are wrong is a huge mistake. Communication is about listening and thinking of what the other party is saying it is important to think and analyze what they say as they might throw some light on what you are seeing. Remember you have 2 eyes and one brain you can never have the full sight of any subject, item or topic. There is always more than one view.

Communication enriches your ability to teach and your ability to learn. Try to always learn even if you are the one teaching. If you are teaching then you are learning about the people you are dealing with and learning from them how to deal with different people.

Understanding and Communication are two very powerful words, do not underestimate them. Give and receive, learn and teach. Life is a non stopping wheel of learning curves. It is the never ending cycle of knowledge.

Communicate, understand and build. The more you give, the more you learn the more you reach into yourself and are able to know what to do and when.
