Athletic Competition of Dopes

Infamous cyclist Lance Armstrong ended years of lies on Thursday. He finally confessed to Oprah Winfrey that he was doping on a consistent way. Armstrong's confession comes just months after the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) released a detailed report describing him as the ringmaster of the most sophisticated, professionalized and successful doping program that sport has ever seen.

We all know what happens at Olympics, an international competition of steroids, not athletes. People feel well during the games, but feel miserable after the games when they find out Olympics cost them ten times more than projected, and most of it went to bribe kleptocrats!

A poll on my website shows 60% of people consider athletic competitions not really competitions of athletes, but of pharmaceutical companies and bribes! Every year, new untraceable dopes show up, which bring gold medals.

The current antidoping code includes the whereabouts system, requiring athletes to select one hour every day to be available for no-notice drug tests. But these tests cannot find out the brand new drugs. Many governments subsidize these million-euro drugs as food supplements of their athletes!

Scientists cannot detect the banned practice of blood doping. It involves athletes storing and transfusing their own blood, or the blood of others, before competition, to increase the number of red blood cells in the body. By manipulating their oxygen-carrying capacity, cheats can increase their stamina and speed.

Drug testing methods cannot pick up gene doping. Wasted muscles are now repaired with injected substances that switch off key genes. We've now got genetically modified athletes. The use of gene therapy to improve performance is a reality. The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) is putting significant money and resources into research into finding ways to detect genetic enhancement of athletes.

Gene doping - in which DNA is introduced into the body using an inactivated virus or by other means - could alter a person's genetic make-up and improve athletic performance by increasing muscle growth, blood production, endurance, oxygen dispersal or pain perception. Since it cannot be detected, no one really knows whether athletes are using it or not.

Repoxygen is based on a direct injection of an inactivated virus carrying the gene for erythropoietin, a hormone beloved by athletic dopers seeking to artificially boost their red blood cells and aerobic capacity.

More than ten thousand East German athletes were doped in a program that ran for decades up until 1989 with approval from the highest levels of the East German
government. Many were given the pills as minors. Three million tablets of performance enhancing drugs, mostly anabolic steroids, were given out each year to athletes. Many later developed cancer, ovarian cysts, liver damage, heart disease, infertility and other ailments. Some had children with health problems, such as blindness or club feet.

East German coaches, trainers and parents would watch as their young daughters suddenly exhibited unusual amounts of body hair, bulked up rapidly, and developed deep voices. There was a joke running around that when women Olympic swimmers would go into the changing room and see East German girls there, they'd say, oh my God, we must be in the men's locker room!

Despite the near cartoonish appearance of some of their athletes, the doping program delivered results. From 1972 to 1988, East Germany of 17 million people won 384 Olympic medals, not including the 1984 Los Angeles Games, which they boycotted. They always placed well ahead of the much larger West Germany.

Paralympics are a joke! Cheating is becoming an increasing problem in sports events for athletes with disabilities. Rigorous inspections are supposed to root out those who are only faking a handicap, but many imposters get through, like the supposedly blind athlete who cheered when she saw her result on the board. There are plenty of dissemblers among the participants, people who, in medical inspections, deliberately paint their state of health in more dramatic terms than it is, thereby competing under false pretenses in events that are becoming increasingly popular and also provide the opportunity to make a lot of money.

Islamist terrorists did not bother to try anything in the Athens Olympics, because they like Greeks. Piggish Graecokleptocrats ordered a security system for their Olympics, just to generate bribes. The security system was not delivered on time for the Athens Olympics, but Graecokleptocrats kept the nondelivery secret, because they knew nothing would happen!

The Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) is the corrupt international governing body of association football or soccer. Its membership comprises 209 national associations. Its headquarters are in Zurich, and its president is Sepp Blatter. FIFA is responsible for the organization of football's major international tournaments, notably the World Cup.

Former FIFA President Joao Havelange has been implicated in a major bribery scandal. This is business as usual for FIFA, which has been implicated in myriad scandals. Havelange and his former son-in-law Ricardo Teixeira accepted bribes worth millions in World Cup deals. Havelange presided over FIFA for 24 years until 1998. Many bribes were courtesy of International Sport and Leisure (ISL), FIFA's former marketing company.

The Swiss Federal Court reveals that all FIFA chiefs were fully aware that Havelange and Teixeira had been given bribes by ISL! Havelange is now FIFA's honorary president. He has been a huge influence in international sport, and he has managed for Rio de Janeiro to secure the 2016 Olympics.
