Those who follow the nation's politics understand that the creation of a viable and effective third political party in the US is the LAST thing Washington wants.  The dems and repubs will fight a third party with all the power, energy, zeal, vehemence, vigor, cunning, and skulduggery they can manage -- and then some.

Look.  Our political system was designed for multiple political parties ... not just two parties such as we have today.

Having only two parties is extremely risky.  Over the years we have seen the two parties switch positions and recently we have watched as the Republican Party, supposedly the home of those of the conservative persuasion, adopt the liberal and progressive positions of the Democratic Party on a scale that has rendered the GOP as something of a pale reflection of the party that has been the traditional home of Socialists, Marxists, and Progressives-- the Democratic Party.

Red Chinese Seek To Replace US as World Leader

Some time ago I write a piece entitled:  "If Not America — Who?"

In that commentary I said:  "What is so wrong with the US that we can’t lead the world? What is so wrong with the US that some Americans think France is better? Or Germany, or… oh, well — you get the picture.

If they espoused such beliefs in the now defunct old Soviet Union, they’d be snatched out of their beds in the middle of the night and whisked away to a state run mental Institution until they were better — and “re-educated”.

Look.  The US has its problems. There is no denying that — and we don’t. But we don’t sweep them under the rug, either. We deal with them — right out in the openfor the world to see.

Feds to Determine Definition of Journalist

"A long life in journalism convinced me many presidents ago that there should be a large air space between a journalist and the head of a state." - Walter Lippmann

I was a member of "the press" for a number of decades.  I carried press credentials in my wallet at all times. Even after retirement I carried that press card for many years, reluctant to part with it. Once a "news hound" always a news hound as the expression goes.  (If you have not heard THAT one, you were never a reporter.)

Even in retirement, it was many, MANY, years before I could comfortably allow a flashing red or blue light, or the sound of a wailing siren, pass me by without acquiescing to the overwhelming urge to grab the closest form of transportation and give chase like a bat from the lower climes.

The Mainstream Media’s (MsM) assault on evangelical Christian Conservatives is going to backfire on them. Some feel it has already begun.  Consider the number of major news outlets in financial trouble today.

First of all, it is wise to understand that the mainstream media in the US is the voice of the Democratic Party.... the propaganda wing of the Democratic Party, if you will.    You must keep that in mind to be able to interpret what they disseminate as “news.”

The MSM is out of touch with real Americans, especially real Americans who subscribe to the Christian faith… and to parse it even more… real Americans who subscribe to the evangelical brand of the Christian faith.  This disconnect has existed for decades now.  And yet, the MsM continues to flail about either not recognizing the problem, or intentionally ignoring it - even to their own detriment.

It has been said: “Freedom stands on five boxes: The Soap Box, The Ballot Box, the Jury Box, the Witness Box, and… the Cartridge Box."

Just as so many of us predicted, gun sales and ammo sales went through the roof in America when Obama was elected (the first time) in 2008. It did not take the use of my crystal ball to foretell this still on-going event.  All it took was a wee bit of common sense and paying attention to the world around me.

Back in November of 2008, Americans forsook much of what The Founders of this great country taught us and much of what The Founders, themselves, had interwoven into the fabric of this great republic.

This scribe warned for years that the US Government was intent upon reigning supreme over the Internet.

Government control of the Internet was a given.  They could not allow the Internet to remain free.

See, the Internet is the biggest threat to government, free and dictatorial, of all the threats existing today.

Why?

Because the Internet represents power, real power, for the individual.  The Internet is power in the form of information and communication.
